Dawn of July/Tanabata

July has brought a warm special night,

The stars seem so hectic,

They, all, shine so bright,

Unearthly majestic, with auras of light.

Two stars are awaiting their annual meet,

Two lovers separated brutally, but sweet,

The pure little Vega and her noble Altair,

Orihime and Hikoboshi, deities, fair.

This beautiful meeting appears on the sky,

Happiness shining high above us,

The two stars surrounding the world with such love,

It’s like I’m unable to close my green eyes.

As the light of the dawn enlightens the skyline,

The deities shine in their powerful embrace

And I’m making a wish on the wide, starry space,

Hoping they hear me and they’ll fulfill it today.
